Thousands Experiencing Power in South-East Queensland and Victoria Following Intense Storms
Approximately 25,000 homes in southeastern Queensland woke up experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after powerful weather events swept through the region, bringing powerful gusts reaching 109 kilometers per hour.
Substantial Ice Stones and Broad Damage
Residents reported large ice chunks reaching sizes of 7cm in some areas. Weather authorities announced that various areas across the state had been hit with significant hail.

Response teams were attempting to repair power throughout the affected regions, with nearly 70 crews activated to manage the numerous electricity disruptions.
Victoria's Storm Challenges
At the same time, around one thousand households in the southern state also faced electricity disruptions after the metropolitan area experienced its heaviest rainfall in 18 months.
Emergency response teams received over five hundred emergency reports across the state, primarily for structural issues but also for fallen timber and inundation.

Weather Forecast
Humid circumstances were predicted to continue along significant areas of Queensland's east this coming days as a weather pattern continued to pull in damp air against the shoreline.
Tuesday was forecast to be the heaviest precipitation period, with continued storm activity expected across various areas of both regions.
Health Warning
Medical authorities warned that there was an increased chance of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the state's northern country region, specifically given the ongoing climate situation.
This caution comes after past events where comparable situations led to major medical consequences in the area.
